The Ranch
Students from NJUHSD and Bear River High School now have the opportunity to gain practical experience in agriculture at “The Ranch,” an 86-acre working ranch recently donated to the district. The Ranch provides a unique outdoor classroom where students can engage in real-world hands-on agricultural training.
Nevada County Resource Conservation District Donates Portable Sawmill to The Ranch School
NCRCD is proud to announce the donation of a portable sawmill to The Ranch School. This gift includes a trailer, blades, and a Model LT15 Wide sawmill equipped with a 17HP diesel engine, power feed, wide trailer, a box of 15 blades, and field assembly.
This donation aligns with NCRCD’s mission to promote responsible resource management through leadership, education, technical and financial assistance, and project facilitation. By supporting NJUHSD’s educational goals, the NCRCD aims to enhance agricultural programs and outdoor learning labs across the district.
The NCRCD Board hopes the sawmill will serve as a valuable resource for students and educators and remains committed to supporting this innovative and impactful program.
