Board Meetings
The Nevada County Resource Conservation District (NCRCD) meets at 4 p.m. on the 2nd Tuesday of each month except August and December.

The Board shall allow comments from the public on items not on the agenda during the Public Comment period at the beginning of the Board meeting. The President may limit the total amount of time for comment to no less than three (3) minutes for each individual. Comments must be relevant to the mission statement of the NCRCD.
The Board shall allow public comment on items appearing on the agenda during the time the agenda item is considered by the Board. The President may limit the total amount of time for comment on any agenda item to no less than three (3) minutes for each individual. Comments must be relevant to the item being considered by the Board.
After receiving recognition from the Board President, any member of the audience desiring to address the Board shall:
- Give their name and city of residence;
- Direct their comments to the Board, not the audience;
- Not yield time to another speaker;
- Comment only on topics of responsibility by the NCRCD (during the Public Comment period) or on the specific Agenda item before the Board, with reasons for the position taken;
- Not comment more than once during the Public Comment period or on an item on the agenda unless recognized by the President as having new information.
The Board President shall first caution any person at the meeting who is abusive, disruptive, or out of order, and then ask that person to leave if the person will not stop; additionally, the President reserves the right to recess the meeting until the person leaves or is escorted out and order is restored.
Pursuant to Government Code Sections 54954.2, 54956.9, 54957, and 54957.7, Closed Sessions of the Board of Directors will be held regarding the appointment, employment, evaluation of performance, or dismissal of an employee, pending litigation issues, or real property negotiations. No action is taken in Closed Session.
